How to take wallpaper off a wall.?
I have a lining of wallpaper close to my ceiling its Just One strip that goes around the room. Its time for a change. I was wondering how can i remove the wall paper, do i use hot water or is there some time of product that i apply on?
some wallpaper has a tear away outer layer. once the outer layer is gone just the paper backing is left. simply wet that and it should also peal away.
otherwise they sell a tool at improvement stores that put hundreds of hole in the outer layer so that water or commercial wallpaper remover can get to the glue.
i am experiencing a brain problem but i think the remover if called DIFF. that may be wrong but it starts with a d. in a bottle like windex and it is red.
after you get all the paper off wash the wall well with warm water to help get any residue. otherwise the paint might not stick well. and you might consider using primer first anyway, just in case. have fun. i hate wallpaper.
