Do baby girls in general hit their milestones before Baby Boys?
I have three friends with four baby girls between them. And four friends/family members with four baby boys plus my own son. It seems that in terms of sitting up, crawling, pulling up and cruising, the girls have all hit these milestones weeks to months before the boys. Is there some inherant reason this is the case like the boys all have bigger heads than the girls? or have more weight to support/balance?Or is it a big coincidence?
I am comparing 9 babies here. Please don’t answer with a two baby comparison!
In general, boys have faster development in motor control, and girls have faster development in communication. Having said that, every baby is an individual and may not adhere to those “rules”.
